Progress Report #64: May 2023

Welcome back to the our VoidBound coverage for the month of May! Glad to report, things remain on track, albeit a bit slow on the pacing. Sadly, can't be helped as the planning is that one phase where there is a lot of doing, back and forth, then redoing and the cycle repeating so forth.

Anyhoo, onwards to the latest!

Our artist is glad to report that the first Bad End[Slime] CG works has all been finished and sent off to the writer's desk. With that, one end down, two more to go! While the writing team fleshes out the multi-style content, Doppel has also decided to look back at his older works to find candidates for quality updations in the future. We're assured though that this will be done as a sort of side project and will neither affect nor cause any delays to the current development itself.

Word from the writer's guild is that they continue their battle with the concept army trying to figure out things that were, things that are and things have not yet come to pass. *ahem* Cheesy LOTR quotes aside, what they mean is that they remain steadfast in building the upcoming content while continuing tweaking work on the older storyblocks. Unfortunately, we do not have anything concrete to mention here, so you'll have to bear with us for a few more days before we're able to accurately present what exactly is happening behind the scenes.

Finally, work behind the coding scenes continue into this month as well but, here is where our aforementioned "slow pacing" exacerbates a bit as well. Due to unforeseen circumstances, our lead coder had to leave for a trip that is expected to last for a few days at least. As such, even though he did finish work on Battle Objects and code optimizations before he left, he had little else time to donate to other aspects of his planned work. We are informed however that he did pack some work he could do on the fly, so hopefully, there won't be much catching up to do when he finally returns.

And that is our sum-up for these past few days. We'll continue to keep you posted with new developments out of the concept oven, but hopefully we'll move from the creation to the construction aspects of the development cycle fairly soon.

Thank you for your time and stay safe!

Kind Regards,

Cursed-Atelier Team
