Progress Report #68: May 2023

Welcome back to the May finale of our weekly mapping of VoidBound development. Though there were fewer individual changes as efforts still remain centered around concepting, but the changes that were made are substantial! Lets go over them quickly!

We recently unveiled plans of revamping the intro of the game by pushing it away from the current text heavy style to a more hybrid'ish experience by introducing gameplay elements into it! To that effect, we're glad to report, a few new ideas have cleared the discussion table and work has now begun on implementing them!

Might we offer you a teaser sample of the top down view?

Rest assured, Caly will bring the pain upon her captors by making them suffer ten times over for all the humiliation they subjected upon her. And perhaps, a little payback too for what the Urtu did to her solar system!

In other aspects, with Ishan's Bad End scenario now finalized, writers have turned the majority of their attention to Gen's Bad End scenario. The pen masters really have it in for Caly these days it seems. Well... not all the time it seems.

A hot demand from our community recently was to have the crew spend some quality time together with the bee wonder, Mitsu! Who can say no to that compelling a request? We already teased two early designs last week so, how about two more?


And that is our short coverage on VoidBound's development for this week. With staggered release pattern in full effect, you might find us jumping quite a bit between different contents in our PRs for the next few weeks. But rest assured, the ultimate plan remains the same. All three Bad Ends, a redesigned intro, a solid foundation for the next planet! And, we'll make sure to keep you appraised on all of them.

For now though, that's all from our end and we'll see you in the tepid month of June!
