Progress Report #118: June 2024


Hi folks,

After a brief break, the team is back in full swing, diving headfirst into exciting new developments. Let’s jump into the latest updates straight from their desks.

As the game content expands, we've identified the need for location tagging to better guide players in their quests. To address this, we've started creating new nameplates for displaying map names, enhancing navigation and ensuring no one gets lost in sprawling multi-zonal locations like Henosis.

Fresh graphical enhancements have been added to the menu, making the interface more visually appealing and intuitive. While work is still ongoing, we plan to refine additional facets of the UI for quick grasping.

The writers have begun concept work crafting new scenes and scenarios- chief among them, the tale of an extraterrestrial orc. A fantasy beast in a sci-fi world? Possibilities galore!

Additionally, designing the room structures, and associated fixtures, for the relevant locations to be featured in the new Side Quest Adventure is underway as well.

We're still very much focused on absorbing feedback and correcting as well as refining introductory and Tripteen scenes that had perspective issues to ensure a seamless storytelling experience.

New gameplay features that did not make the quality cut in time for the STEAM EA release, have been added back into the game once more and are currently undergoing testing.

We've also implemented more Quality-of-Life additions and bug fixes to the Quest Log system with better tracking capabilities. With the game expanding, a robust Quest Log is essential.

Lastly, a terminal will be added on Settek in the next patch that'd allows players to fix their bugged saves. This might sound odd, but we'll explain in more vivid detail once we finalize its full functionality.
