VoidBound 0.5.6a [Public Release Build]



Greetings, gamers and supporters!

With the EA launch now squarely behind us, we're thrilled to finally release an official new public build for VoidBound! Tagged 0.5.6a, this one contains a flurry of long awaited QoL changes, new features and tweaks, as well as bounty opportunities that'll put a smile on any hunter's face. 

Caly sharpens her new found bounty hunting skills by going after two highly dangerous marks- seasoned criminals who will resort to any means necessary to avoid the grasp of the law. Will our rookie hunter succeed? Or will she end up as their next victim? Her fate, is in your hands.

To access the new content, head to the Bounty Guild located in Henosis's Red District and pick the new target bounties from the Guild Representative Moak there. 

You'll only qualify to receive them if you:  

  • Have acquired your Bounty License.
  • Finished the entire Slime Quest-line.

-ChangeLog-

New Artworks:

  • Over 600+ image assets for standing art and CG works spread across multiple events and scenarios!
  • Two new animated H scenes as part of the latest bounty hunts!
  • Major overhaul of Caly's standing art with multiple animated variations of the spacesuit.
  • Caly's sprite work has also been updated to reflect the new standing art, both suit and casual outfit.
  • Caly's Casual outfit has received a brand new look as well receiving similar variations with animated features.
  • Six new Caly expressions! Available in both spacesuit and casual outfit format.
  • Various new standing arts and sprites for both bounty targets as well.
  • New expression animation system now functional.

New Lore & Combat-Works:

  • Added 14'000 words of new lore encompassing Caly's latest adventures.
  • Six new enemies: Three normal and three boss types to face-off against.
  • Two new Bounty storylines- one off them featuring alternative ways of completing your missions. Violence or Tact? You decide.
  • Added twelve new and unique enemy skills. Combat with new taunts, debuffs, timers, opportunities based challenges etc. await!

New Mechanic-Works:

  • Deployed the alpha version of the Quest Log and implemented the aforementioned new bounty hunt trackers in it as part of initial test line.
  • Added Graphics and SFX when accepting, completing or progressing quests.
  • Added a highlighting system for dialogues! Players can now distinguish between who is speaking at first glance without the need to memorize character names.
  • Testing a new enemy grab mechanic that comes with a CG and a mash mini game! 

Developer Notes & Instructions:

1) Simply download and unzip the file and double click Game.exe to play the game.

2) If you're confused about the .7z extension, simply install the freeware 7zip software, right click on the downloaded file and hit "Extract here"(If you are on Win11, click "Show more Options" first before finding the "Extract here" command)

4) Saves are backward compatible with the original Henosis Overhaul patch should you decide to import your saves. Copy the save folder from the original and paste it into this one. Continue playing as normal from where you last left off.
